I've found a short Liz Phair interview about the re-releasing of 'Exile...' from april 2008 here

I think the question that basically asks itself is "what the **** happened?"

lol

i'd ask her if she thinks motherhood ruined her songwriting or has taken away her quirks and oddities which made her such an exciting songwriter.

but that's too harsh. plus, i think some of her newer songs are really good anyway.
