America's Sweetheart really wasn't such a disaster afterall, if you consider how some of these other 90's solo projects turned out.

Billy Corgan has more talent and more appeal than Courtney Love and he still sold fuck all and his album was terrible.

That slob from Veruca Salt has basically gone solo under her old band's name, and is a joke. Same with Gavin. Shirley's "solo" album is unreleasable.

you are right about AS in the grand scheme of things....over all it wasn't so bad. unlike the corgan album which was unlistenable, even with robert smith on it.
