Has anyone else got this yet? Her voice is so bland and uninspiring, especially when compared to the original (maybe it suffers much more in contrast). I wonder if Tom Waits feels like he's been artistically raped? Has he made any comments on it?

I downloaded it. It's the kind of boring, you couldn't go to sleep listening to it.

I've heard Falling Down and a couple other songs I don't know the name of. I don't listen to Tom Waits and I don't think I've ever really heard any of his songs, so I didn't have any expectations... that said, I agree her voice is devoid of emotion. I kind of feel like she's trying to imitate the style of the song at the end of Lost In Translation, I think it's Just Like Honey by Jesus and Mary Chain? But all the songs sound the same, and there's no passion in her voice, and besides that, the album art is insipid. I also think if she wanted to do music, an album of covers isn't really the best idea - it would have been better for her to do more original material.

I find her image on the album cover extremely annoying for some reason as well.

Yeah, it is Jesus and Mary Chain - and that song rocks.

I do wonder why she chose covers... I'm guessing it was a project for 'art' as opposed to money or a substantial music career?
