I think this a really great pop song. I love the melody, the chords, the key changes and the lyrics. I think it's the first time Ashlee Simpson has released something of merit.
However,
I can't help thinking that somebody like Kelly Clarkson could have sung it so much better and given it the justice it deserves.
When Ashlee sings it live you can see the conviction in her performance but she isn't strong enough to deliver it.
Clarkson could have belted this diamond of a tune out and made it a super hit I'm convinced.
