i didnt really like the one institute song i heard when they came out, i should try again. i was a huge bush fan back in the day. i wish the other members would get something going too.

I was pretty harsh on Institute for a while there, cause I love Bush so much and they were quite a bit better, but I still hope Gavin and the new band make at least one more record.

Latest news according to Gavin himself is that he's got a solo record on the way, which didn't entirely sound like the direction he intended, but more where circumstance with Institute may have put him.

I do find it sad that he came up with better names for his bands than for his own son.

I've loved Bush for years (note the avatar haha). I was kind of iffy about the whole Institute thing, but I've come to like them as well.

bush were amazing. RS is easily in my top ten records of all-time list, and sixteen stone was pretty damn good as well. their later stuff was okay but nowhere near as great as the initial material. just thinking about razorblade makes me want to go hunt it out and listen to it. swallowed, mouth, straight no chaser, bonedriven... fuck! there was not one bad song on that album. it had such good artwork too, i loved the way the lyrics were printed in the sleeve.

i haven't really gotten into institute... not that i've had much of a chance to. i'll check them out eventually.
