i actually see that clip alot whenever i try to look up mariah's obscenely high notes on the utubez. it's quite funny, but the 'mariah h8's madonna' ones are so much more king.
does mariah even sing anymore? her performance in that idol show was hilarious. she just whimpered like a whore. actually that's an improvement. i'd rather hear nothing from her than suffer through 3 minutes of her prattling torture.

well if there's any pop star that i think deserves my total allegiance to, it would be mariah. she's pretty much god's gift. damn that bitch can sing.
but even i have to admit she's been lip synching more than usual. i haven't heard her hit a live high note since that def leppard cover she did (which, coming from a ex-def leppard fan, was aces btw). & her tessitura is so much more strained & rough than it was back in the Butterfly days.
even when she did "fly like a bird" at the VMAS, she completely lipsynched all the wild high notes at the end. same with the long, drawn-out note everytime at end of "we belong together". not cool.
i wouldn't be surprised if her voice was completely shot. it was only a matter of time.
