Madonna to play intimate New York show



Madonna is set to play an intimate show in New York City, scheduled to take place on April 30.

The Queen Of Pop will perform at the 3,000 capacity Roseland Ballroom in midtown Manhattan, and the show will be broadcast live on msn.com that day in the US. The show will air on msn.com internationally on May 15.

The special performance will promote the release of Madonna’s forthcoming album ‘Hard Candy’, which will be released on April 29.

A limited number of tickets for the show will be made available to fans who physically line-up at the venue. The date for ticket sales has yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Madonna’s collaborative single with Justin Timberlake, ‘4 Minutes’, is currently on release throughout the world, and has already reached number one in many countries.

lol @ the concept of 3,000 being described as "intimate". yes, by Madonna standards that's comparatively intimate, but it's still pretty fucking huge. It's not like you're gonna bump into her in the toilets.

that's not intimate at all!

also the crowd will be largely celebrities and I predicted before I opened this it would be broadcast. it's just a show to make monies and as that's what madonna always does when she plays live so I don't even understand why the nme are reporting this.

considering she plays arenas and stadiums with 16,000 - 90,000 people on her normal tours....3000 is intimate.
