i'm not feeling this album. though i will always love her. maybe it will grow on me. i told myself that about Bedtime Stories , and i still hate that album.

The rest is growing on me. First time I heard about the timbaland and Justin co-lab...I hated it....but now, I see that it was good.
I wish she would have gone and made another 70's disco record...Confessions was so good! I can't dance to the whole new CD, like the last one.

I like all of the Pharrell tracks ~*EXCEPT*~ Candy Shop. A woman her age should not sing that song, not to mention it is just a plain terrible piece of writing.

I hate all of the Timbaland/Danja/Timberlake songs ~*EXCEPT*~ 4 Minutes because it is sooooo much a Justin song with Madonna's backup vox.

I love it and it's a total grower. By the fifth listen it totally has you sucked in!

They seemed to be playing it in Borders today. I think it was her new stuff. It passed by pleasantly enough, but it was a bit forgettable, and I do miss "squeaky Madonna". I really do. I'll buy it when it hits the bargain bins.

i'm not sure what to think about Hard Candy. Comparing it to Confessions, the latter is the better album (because I didn't press the skip button) but like the Rolling Stone review mentioned, Candy lacks emotion. I can't lie, 4 minutes is my jam though lol

I like the album but am pretty unimpressed with its unoriginality. My boyfriend came home while I was playing it and said it sounded like anything else on the radio right now (Nelly/Gwen template). I would love to see her do a Mirwais or William Orbit-style thing again.

I wish I could have been at the hard candy promo show this week with a media pass.
JT appeared from a video screen in the flesh to sing 4 minutes decked out in a white tux. He then beckoned her madgesty over with a finger and she followed him to the side of the stage for a little bump n grind. Saw the pics in the paper today and it looked awesome.
It was only a brief set of about 5 songs as I recall, but it included a heavy metal version of hung up. How cool is that?!
Apparently she also played the intro to satisfaction by the stones on the guitar and then stopped to yell to the crowd 'Do you think you're here to see the stones? Fuck that!'

I really like the last two songs, especially Devil Wouldn't Recognize You.

The single has grown on me, and I'm not sure about the rest yet. Some of it seems way too insipid, even by her standards.

It's better if you remember Music was the last album she mattered. For something inconsequential, this is decent enough.

i like heartbeat, especially the break in the middle where she talks. it's so dorky and akward, could not help but love it. uh uh get down. it's like queen elizabeth talking dirty haha

His part is the only bit I remember of the song, doesn't exactly bode well for the rest of the album! I think I'll give this one a miss.

i feel mostly the same way... but when i was listening to it passively on headphones while riding a bike, i was having a good time.

i think dance2night would be good choice for a single. i don't like the "get stupid" bit at the end of give it 2 me. i thought the prince-style titles kind of funny.

you think with so many egos/big deal reputations on the project they would have tried a little harder... some of the production is really annoying. like the one with the men "oooh" ing in the background

it might grow on me yet i guess... but i'm generally not much a fan of any of the many producers (aside from the executive) on board - so maybe its not for me.

Im going to the cardiff gig and all the hotels are booked up! I will be on the streets for the night....
