i'm not sure what to think about Hard Candy. Comparing it to Confessions, the latter is the better album (because I didn't press the skip button) but like the Rolling Stone review mentioned, Candy lacks emotion. I can't lie, 4 minutes is my jam though lol

I like the album but am pretty unimpressed with its unoriginality. My boyfriend came home while I was playing it and said it sounded like anything else on the radio right now (Nelly/Gwen template). I would love to see her do a Mirwais or William Orbit-style thing again.

I wish I could have been at the hard candy promo show this week with a media pass.
JT appeared from a video screen in the flesh to sing 4 minutes decked out in a white tux. He then beckoned her madgesty over with a finger and she followed him to the side of the stage for a little bump n grind. Saw the pics in the paper today and it looked awesome.
It was only a brief set of about 5 songs as I recall, but it included a heavy metal version of hung up. How cool is that?!
Apparently she also played the intro to satisfaction by the stones on the guitar and then stopped to yell to the crowd 'Do you think you're here to see the stones? Fuck that!'

I really like the last two songs, especially Devil Wouldn't Recognize You.

The single has grown on me, and I'm not sure about the rest yet. Some of it seems way too insipid, even by her standards.

It's better if you remember Music was the last album she mattered. For something inconsequential, this is decent enough.

i like heartbeat, especially the break in the middle where she talks. it's so dorky and akward, could not help but love it. uh uh get down. it's like queen elizabeth talking dirty haha
