She's an awful singer, but her prime-period stuff is catchy and the videos are cute enough. There's something heroic about her voice straining on Rush Rush that outdoes even Madge's sinus trouble circa "Angel".

I liked her, though it's nothing that Janet Jackson - or frankly even Taylor Dayne - couldn't have sung better.

My mate's Dad, a concert violinist who played in a quartet with Spilman [sic?], the Pianist dude, has a copy of Forever Your Girl in his CD collection. Takes all sorts. He's bloody huge, and I'd like to see him shake it to Cold Hearted or Knocked Out - her two catchiest songs, I think.
