Yeah, I do get that, but focus on the positive. My nearest city is three and a half hours away, and definitely doesn't have a scene. Whereabouts outside of wildest Scotland can you drive for anything near that time and not encounter at least some semblance of a major centre? I really must do a year in Britain at some stage to disabuse me of my misunderestimation.

Look, I get what you're saying, but cmon, this is like me telling you to eat something you don't like with the old "there are starving children in Africa who'd kill for that". It doesn't really motivate; if you eat the thing because of me saying it, it's to shut me up, not because I've persuaded you. I know that talking to Sophia_ you'd think they were the same thing, but they're not. I think isolation does help a lot of the time, people don't get stuff handed to them so they have to make their own fun. Where Northampton is, it's incredibly easy for people to just get on the train to London or wherever else - like s=y says, to get in a van - so the town itself doesn't develop.

Also, you should come to Britain to correct your misunderestimation of my boner.
