Martha Wainwright will play a free show in London this Friday, the Canadian songstress today being confirmed as the headliner of The Lipster’s ‘Girl Friday’ (The Lipster - Features - The Lipster's Girl Friday show: exclusive full preview (almost))

Taking place in the front room at the South Bank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Girl Friday has been arranged to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Girl Friday also features appearances from Piney Gir, Catherine Anne Davies, Dockers MC and George Pringle, as well as Monade, the side project of Stereolab’s Lætitia Sadier.

Performances begin at 5.30pm, with Wainwright taking to the stage at 9.30pm. The singer’s second album, I Know You’re Married But I Have Feelings Too, will be released in May through JAG DrownedinSound
