and i prefer the pie-wagony girl to abercrombie folky slut.
classic. I haven't made my mind up about Resolver. I might buy it myself.

i was just listening to IV and resolver (finally put them on the ipod) and like them more now than i did before. the slower songs, i even "love". wuuuut?! even the faster tracks (like the one with the haleakala) are kinda nice.
that said, i prefer nina over louise, always have. but i prefer nina over a lot of people.

and i'm gonna agree, first record is best, then eathy, resolver then IV.
american thighs is just so brilliant. it's got that lazy, slacker dazed feel and the lyrics are cryptic and kind of stupid and the music has those basslines (which is pretty much the only reason why people think they're breeders-esque) and the harmonies, though pretty, don't sound overworked. and nina has those certain moments when she breaks from that laconic voice and belts. and twinstar. and the last track is perfect. and i'm turning 25 this year. so it's a perfect record for me now.

oh and i kind of think of american thighs as like the depressed bestfriend of exile in guyville.

I think American Thighs and EATHY are both great, I like them the same but for different reasons.

Resolver has 2 or 3 good songs but Louise really just ran out of shit at that point...she still doesn't have anything interesting to say so I just stick to the first two and BIOYA.

i imagine it as the fat one's pissy, abrasive meat & potatoes rock record and i like the cover art. in theory it sounds really good, whereas the other ones don't.

sorta like judging somebody by their myspace. they may seem alright going by what they have to say about themselves. but then you meet them in person and end up having to fake a family emergency to get away because they're such a fucking drag.
