why didn't anyone tell me r.e.m.'s new single is out and sucks?

this shit has been out for close to a month and i'm just finding out:

YouTube - R.E.M. - Supernatural Superserious

this has to be their worst lead-off single ever. although i've only been paying attention since brenda put "losing my religion" on repeat after dylan chose kelly.

even "leaving new york" was better than this. at least peter looks hot in the video.

I got a formerly-expensive book from Borders the other day for about two bucks. It's about REM. I ought to read it.
