And I bet she's been seen at Wimbledon...

Anyway, I like Madonna more than you do, so the hectoring tone is misplaced. I just want her to give away the game before the game gives her away. I genuinely believe it will, sooner or later, whether for better or for worse.
You could have fooled me. You say you like Madonna yet you want her to give up doing what she loves the most, making pop music.
Doesn't sound very caring to me.
She loves playing the game of being a star. Why should she quit? She plays it better than anyone.
There's this ridiculous idea that people have that when you get to a certain age and you're a musician, you have to quit. No one tells lawyers or accountants or any other profession to quit.
Age is just a number.
And if Madonna doesn't have hits, she will keep making music. And I'm sure it will still be very pop melodic music, not weird stuff, because she loves pop songs, not avant garde stuff.
She makes the music she does because it is what she likes not as a cynical exercise to hit the charts as you seem to think.
Some people just love pop/dance songs, not avant garde stuff. That is her taste. What's the problem?

I'm looking forward to hearing this, a bit nervous about the Timbaland/Timberlake aspect, but I have faith in Madonna. It'll be hard to top Confessions, its so shit hot and solid minus that line in I Love New York where she rhymes york and dork. Confessions will always hold a special place in my life - when I"m old I will put it on and remember sweaty red wine nights going low to the floor and making out with all the handsome gay boys i know; which even stranger when you know the whole story but i digress. I hope this album is as solid as the last.
