You could have fooled me. You say you like Madonna yet you want her to give up doing what she loves the most, making pop music.
Doesn't sound very caring to me.
She loves playing the game of being a star. Why should she quit? She plays it better than anyone.
There's this ridiculous idea that people have that when you get to a certain age and you're a musician, you have to quit. No one tells lawyers or accountants or any other profession to quit.
Age is just a number.
And if Madonna doesn't have hits, she will keep making music. And I'm sure it will still be very pop melodic music, not weird stuff, because she loves pop songs, not avant garde stuff.
She makes the music she does because it is what she likes not as a cynical exercise to hit the charts as you seem to think.
Some people just love pop/dance songs, not avant garde stuff. That is her taste. What's the problem?
