Montreal — A former Quebec radio host is accusing The White Stripes of sampling from her radio show and is suing the indie rock band for $70,000. Dominique Payette is also seeking an injunction ordering the band to remove the De Stijl album from store shelves. Payette alleges the song Jumble, Jumble begins with a 10-second excerpt from her call-in show, where she seems to be fielding a call from a girl.

How unnecessary and vindictive. If it's from a radio show isn't it for the public to hear anyway?

this is idiotic in so many different ways, i can't even begin to....

apparently she wants to be known as a dumbass to the masses than be respected and appreciated for her work by the public on a smaller scale.

Yeah well that's what you get when you don't have permission to use someone else's works in your own works. Even an acknowledgement on their record sleeve would avoid having to be sued as it means they're recognising that they're using the works.

The White Stripes are shite anyway.
