I agree about the owl pictures...although the one that made the album cover has a certain crazy-assed charm...and it's a harsh enough break from her earlier album covers to make sense with the new sound.

I was wondering that myself, but then I read that Alison wanted the cover to be reminiscent of the 70s folk albums with just a face shot in a nature-istic atmosphere. And once you get it in person, you totally get what she was going for. It doesn't come across so well when you see it online.

A&E got to #10 in the UK too so I was very pleased to see that. I was expecting top 30, so top 10 is amazing. Hopefully the album debuts high too.

That is awesome! I may take some of the income tax refund and buy it. I'm not usually a spendthrift, but it'd be nice to have a really good CD for a change.

I saw it in Fopp the other day and just stood there going oooh and aah, it was 17 quid though I'll probably get it eventually). I think the photos are great.
