^ i think that would be a great name for a k.d. lang bio. she actually has a biography, i saw it years ago at target and asked my mom if she would buy it for me but she said no.
she also said, while looking at the cover photo: "she's so pretty, she shouldn't do that to herself"... i assume she was talking about the haircut, but geez, it's not that bad. by dyke standards, it's actually quite glamorous.

i like her voice but hate all her songs, even the ones that aren't the sound of lesbian comehitherness.

I'm not that big a fan of her songs, but her voice is amazing. I like Ingenue though.

Is she actually a siren? I notice she's referred to as a "chanteuse" in every article. I sort of like "dyke chanteuse" better.

My mum and sister met her outside of a coffee shop on Commercial when my sister was like ... 4. She tried to pet one of K.D. Lang's dogs but K.D. was all "Don't, they'll bite" so my mom called her a dyke and told her to "control your fucking dogs, then".

My mum has a pretty short temper, especially pre-caffiene.

I once saw two uber dyke stereotypes walking down the street, and parked just around the corner from where I saw them was a car with the license plate "kdlang". That was an awesome moment.

Great voice, but not into much of her stuff. She does a cover of Crying with Roy Orbison that I think is gorgeous.

she's absolutely amazing. Her new album made me fall in love with her all over again. BBC4 did a show of her with an orchestra recently, I hope it comes out on dvd because her voice was just incredible, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
