i used to have close to 500 cd's and now have maybe 100. it's rare i actually want to hear a song and regret not having the album anymore. but i do miss owning certain albums, regardless of whether i listened to them or not.

i really liked owning moon safari and have considered rebuying it. but i've just read it's being released as a deluxe edition in a couple months.

i wish instead of becoming obsolete, CD's just got nicer packaging.
orb's adventures beyond the ultraworld (3 disc deluxe edition) is one of my favorite albums, just because the packaging kicks ass. i can rarely listen to it for more than three minutes, but would hate to not have it anymore.
