soul twinz! this was the year that immediately came into my head when i read the title.

i would add "cosmo's factory" by ccr and "the man who sold the world" by bowie as exhibits in this case. but really, i chose 1970 for zeppelin 3. the best zeppelin album of all time.

Well, 1995 was the year music spoke to me the most. Or maybe 1997. But I think a lot of what spoke to me in 1995 was released in 1994, I was so behind the times.

i think it takes a year or more in some cases for a song to be absorbed by the public. at least if you're following the radio. the rise and fall of the charts, etc.

after some careful analysis, i have decided that 1996 was the year for me... at least one of the better summers i remember.. and i was sixteen

Garbage was fresh and their best on the scene too
the song 'Tourniquet' by Marilyn Manson

it's weird to see all your music juxtaposed within the same year. i know i wasn't even listening to all the above at the same time. and i'm probably missing a whole lot more.

2004 was a pretty good year for music too. at least there seemed to be a wealth of creative music coming out of nowhere. my very favourite albums don't seem to line up historically tho
