I don't like punk and had never heard of this band, but became interested when I found out the singer was a fag.

Germicide sounds like shit, but I still really like it.

So I thought I liked the band and bought the anthology. Which isn't that good. It just sounds bland as hell. Joan Jett is such a cunt, I don't know why anybody would want her to produce their album. Although it's probably more about having her name attatched to the thing than any real contribution. I doubt that Bikini Kill stuff she "produced" would sound any different without her, save for that retarded duet or whatever the fuck it is.
She's almost as bad as Henry Rollins and Lydia Lunch when it comes delusions of grandeur.

Anyway the songs on Germicide are better than their later material. I like Street Dreams, Let's Pretend, Suicide Machine better than most of the shit that came afterwards.

Not to glorify stuff that sounds like shit, because most "so bad they're good" bands that are really just fucking dull. But in this case I think they evolved into something really mediocre.
