I'm hoping given REM's new album they'll play, but if they're not headlining (and the headline acts so far are Neil Diamond and Jay Z ) I can't imagine it.

I think it's great that Jay Z might be playing.

He's well into his "bloated Elvis" stage by now, isn't he? Maybe in 2001. I think The Verve should play, but only if Richard wears his spangly shirt. Maybe the fucking Stone Roses should give it another crack. It'll be less appalling than the Sex Pistols reunion.

Every Jay Z song I've heard just sounds like run of the mill shouty rap crap. It just isn't my kind of music. I wouldn't have thought he'd be a good choice to headline Glastonbury either, but then again nor do I think Neil Diamond is. To be honest I've not really heard of either of them and I'd quite like to keep it that way
