| | | I'm gonna see Bjork (in April...)! I'm so excited that she's playing at Plymouth Pavilions - it's not that far for me to go (unlike the Dreamtheatre gig at Wembley I drove for hours to get to - came back the same night, too). I can't believe it!
*jumps up and down*
The venue charged me £77 for 2 standing tickets and already there are other sites selling standing tickets for £90+ each - I hate touts so much!
Wheeeeee! I can't believe how excited I am when it's months away. Oh it's gonna be great! “Björk delivers a performance as visually spectacular as it is musically innovative. Fifteen years into her solo career Björk remains the least compromising and most fantastical pop superstar talent.”
The Guardian 5/5 live review 29th August 2007.
Björk’s band on the Volta Tour includes Mark Bell (LFO) on computers and keyboards and Damian Taylor on keyboards and programming. Drums & percussion come from Chris Corsano (Sonic Youth etc) and Björk’s fantastic all female Icelandic 10 piece brass section is in full effect.
The tour is preceded by the release of the brand new single ‘Declare Independence’ on 1 January 2008. A muscular and militant rallying cry, ‘Declare Independence’ sees Björk at her most passionate and inventive and comes with an electrified backbeat that continues where ‘Earth Intruders’ left off. |

| | | I saw her last night. She played a show on the Sydney Opera House forecourt next to the harbour - what a magical venue to see her for the first time, standing on the Opera House steps watching her tear through the set. Brilliant. 'Declare Independence' got a great reaction here, and otherwise it was a greatest hits show (thankfully, for her first one here in 15 years). Highlights were an unexpected performance of 'Who Is It', a great take on 'Desired Constellation', reverb-heavy 'Bachelorette' and the gorgeous 'Unravel'. Nice to hear 'Army Of Me' and 'Hyperballad' too.

| | | I have to see her. And it's such a shame I haven't.
I'm hoping she'll continue this tour (which I doubt) in North America. Preferably near me. |

| | | declare independance was wonderful at the gold coast bdo, she dedicated it to the indigenous australians, which i thought was excellent. there were great big lazers, and lots of confetti. she was cool.

i'd love to see her again since the festival environment made me ill and i had to leave (dry heaving) before she came on. i'd love it if she'd do a big finale in iceland, though i doubt i'd be able to go.

| | | which BDO? obviously i wasn't there, but i've heard nothing but good reviews, except for that the rage against the machine fans are camping in front of the stage and hogging all the space, being rude, booing, and crushing beercans on their foreheads.
the video i watched of her coming out at the NZ BDO was kind of sad. it seemed liked all of fifteen people cared.

my friend got bjork's setlist!
australians just arent quirky enough for bjork?

| | | I'm looking forward to RATM as much as the next person, but if any one of their fans ruin the set for me, i'm out for blood. I've been waiting far too long to see this lady. |
