I'm so excited that she's playing at Plymouth Pavilions - it's not that far for me to go (unlike the Dreamtheatre gig at Wembley I drove for hours to get to - came back the same night, too). I can't believe it!
*jumps up and down*
The venue charged me £77 for 2 standing tickets and already there are other sites selling standing tickets for £90+
each - I hate touts so much!
Wheeeeee! I can't believe how excited I am when it's months away. Oh it's gonna be great!
“Björk delivers a performance as visually spectacular as it is musically innovative. Fifteen years into her solo career Björk remains the least compromising and most fantastical pop superstar talent.”
The Guardian 5/5 live review 29th August 2007.
Björk’s band on the Volta Tour includes Mark Bell (LFO) on computers and keyboards and Damian Taylor on keyboards and programming. Drums & percussion come from Chris Corsano (Sonic Youth etc) and Björk’s fantastic all female Icelandic 10 piece brass section is in full effect.
The tour is preceded by the release of the brand new single ‘Declare Independence’ on 1 January 2008. A muscular and militant rallying cry, ‘Declare Independence’ sees Björk at her most passionate and inventive and comes with an electrified backbeat that continues where ‘Earth Intruders’ left off.
