I've been listening to Aimee Mann's version of The Scientist. Except I thought it was her song. It's so purrrty.

but the more i listened, the more I realized it's really not her style (it doesn't have 'baby' in it at all). so I googled it thinking it was some 70's song or something. But guess who comes up? fucking coldplay. Oh well. She does the song so much better.

I haven't heard that cover. I can deffo imagine her doing that song, though.

I enjoy some Coldplay but I can't watch their videos because the look of Chris Martin while he's singing annoys me. All lazy-eyed and drop-jawed like he's gonna eat the camera or somthing, idk.

Coldplay are tiresome but they have some nice melodies.

I can't stand Coldplay because of Chris Martin's voice, but the sad truth is they do actually write some good songs. Aimee's version of The Scientist is awesome, and I bet a lot of their songs would sound good with a different singer.

My favourite thing about Aimee's version is that it was recorded live when she was supporting Coldplay. Now that's some cojones!
