New York City (1/1/08) –Yoko Ono kicks off 2008 triumphantly, ascending to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart with her powerful #1 single “No, No, No” (The Remixes) [Billboard issue date: 1/12/08]. The electrifying dance floor scorcher is Ono’s 3rd remix single to top the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, alongside “Walking On Thin Ice” and “Every Man/Every Woman”.
“No, No, No” originally appeared on the avant-garde/pop pioneer’s landmark 1981 album Season of Glass (which Rolling Stone hailed as “an intelligent blend of aesthetic experimentation and pop form” and one of Yoko’s “most accessible and assured albums”). A provocative rocker about sexual liberation and the brutality of sexual dominance, the song and its remixes embody an undeniable fiery provocation as Yoko suggestively taunts and teases “let me take my blouse off…no, no, no, yes, yes, yes…” against a pulsating backdrop of dance, electronic, and rock grooves.
It is further evidence of the world’s acceptance and appreciation of the revolutionary artist’s fertile repertoire. Her daringly unconventional style and outspoken themes of peace, diversity, liberation, empowerment, equality, social consciousness, and the power of love have always resonated among the members of the underground art and music worlds, and during the last five years her solo material has been increasingly accepted by a new generation and a far wider audience.

The release follows the success of Ono’s recent #2 Hot Dance Club Play charting smash “You’re The One” (culled from her critically-acclaimed Mindtrain/Astralwerks Records dance remix collection Open Your Box). "You're the One" was the #6 Hot Dance Club Play Track of all of 2007 making Yoko one of the year’s Top 25 Hot Dance Club Play Artists, standing among contemporary heavyweights like Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Pet Shop Boys, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and The Killers). Her alternative rock album "Yes, I'm A Witch" made the Mojo Magazine critics list of the top 40 albums of 2007 as well.
