I couldnt find a good thread except one called 'Dolly Parton Rox' which offended me.
I'm not that clued up on Dolly's work, but I know enough to know I like a lot.
Did anyone happen to see 'When Jake met Dolly' the other night on channel 4?! It was one of the loveliest things ever.
It was Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters interviewing Dolly and talking about her career and how much he loves her, and he was so damn starstruck and overcome during it.
My favourite bit was when she demonstrated how she wrote 9to5 in her trailer during filming, by basically strumming her huge fingernails together and singing over it. HAAA!

My friend is buying us tickets for her London show in the summer at O2.
i was in love with her when i was a little kid. like two or three. i used to watch her show. my great grandmother had all these Dolly 8 tracks, and she gave them to me with an 8 track radio when i was young. I threw a fit when i saw them. The song Me and Little Andy would make me cry. She thought it was the cutest thing. I believe there is a bit of foreshadowing there.
But, I still love her. And I have never had a problem admitting it. She is a great songwriter and singer. And she has the best personality. I love someone who can laugh and make fun of who they are.
And my bf loves Hannah Montanna. So, he watches it all the time. I did sit down and watch two episodes with Dolly in it. I really enjoyed the shows. haha. that godammned hannah montanna.
