I couldnt find a good thread except one called 'Dolly Parton Rox' which offended me.
I'm not that clued up on Dolly's work, but I know enough to know I like a lot.
Did anyone happen to see 'When Jake met Dolly' the other night on channel 4?! It was one of the loveliest things ever.
It was Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters interviewing Dolly and talking about her career and how much he loves her, and he was so damn starstruck and overcome during it.
My favourite bit was when she demonstrated how she wrote 9to5 in her trailer during filming, by basically strumming her huge fingernails together and singing over it. HAAA!

i was out with my daughter the other day, can't remember where,
& a dolly parton christmas duet was coming from the sound system.
my daughter knew who it was.
