Pete Wentz has long played with the rules of gender. The Fall Out Boy bassist is the certified poster boy for guyliner, wears women's jeans and often makes out with his male bandmates on stage. While such acts prompt confusion around Wentz's sexual orientation -- despite having a longtime girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson -- he says it's all nothing more than an attempt to confront homophobia.
"I would never come out and say I'm gay, because I'm not gay," Wentz told NPR's 'All Things Considered.' "There's part of me that kind of wishes I was gay, and I think that comes from anybody constantly wishing they were in the minority and constantly wants to be fighting everybody off."
Wentz cites gender-bending rockers like David Bowie and Marilyn Manson as inspiration for his own playful ways. "My whole point is I think there's something in art where you should be making people feel uncomfortable," he said.

Well there's a wish that might just come true. Shall we PM him and tell him how?

I guess if you can't do that through your music, wearing eyeliner is totally the next best thing.
Seriously, how long has it been since gender-bending of any kind, let alone just wearing a bit of make-up, has been shocking or even mildly interesting?
For the record, I totally would do Pete Wentz. I'm not ashamed of this. I'd probably ask him to take the eye-liner off first though.

I agree with Wentz about the discomfort people feel about gender-bending art. Discomfort and confusion have always been exhilarants to the viewers of art, or those extremely attracted to art. Some admit that exhilaration openly, some deny it.
In my opinion ART itself is bisexual. It attracts all of it's sort.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to taking the boy-on-boy action to the next level?
I haven’t really ever gotten that close, ’cause honestly, I’m not a real big fan of penises. Like my own, whenever I look at it, I just don’t find anything attractive about it. I can’t believe girls are into it. It blows my mind a little bit. So that’s the biggest problem. I’d love to share clothes with a dude and have all those benefits, but I just can’t get past that thing. It’s just weird-lookin’.
I had a friend ages ago who described himself as "bisexual from the waist up". We aren't friends anymore and I think that was probably the point when the rot set in.
