This man embellishes everything he touches with his musical genius.

Any fans? A new album is set for release early next year. I can't wait to hear it, especially after 2007's "Idiot Savants" was so ace. It's nice that they've retained the magic after so many years. DC are definitely one of my favourite bands of all time, and I have every faith that this album will be beautiful just like the rest of their work.

Vini Reilly is probably the most underrated guitarist ever. My favorite album of his (all-time) is LC, but I generally like everything he gets his hands on...

If I had to choose I would probably say my favourite album of his is LC, but The Return of the Durutti Column has a special place in my heart as it made me fall in love with the band and with Vini's work. But I can generally just stick on any of his albums and it'll have the same brilliant effect

I don't know much of his music.

But i've met him a few times and hes a nice guy.

He certainly "embellishes" his contribution to the writing of Viva Hate, according to anybody and everybody else. But his guitar work on the album is wonderful, and so necessarily different to Johnny Marr.

I've never had much to do with the Durutti Column, but I am intrigued. I know I ought to investigate.
