bands you've seen live, loved, and then had no way of relating the same experience to their albums. are there acts that just work better on stage?

an albatross and radiohead are both live standouts, but i dig them on wax too.

As much as I like Peaches' albums, she's far more entertaining live.

i have that Radiohead video - 'Meeting People is Easy'. the way they completely shredded 'Electioneering' on it made me think they could be so much more present, in a live setting.

Xiu Xiu was much better live than i thought they ever were before on album. The Concretes couldn't live up to their performance for me. same with The Helio Sequence.
