I like the "Vagina Mine" song - the "tounge roll call" part and the "keep a chain gang swingin' make a catbird sing." "Mama Sed" was the first track I liked; I thought the album was crap for the first listen but it's growing on me.
The guy makes golden almost everything he touches, musically, eh? I'm so picky yet always impressed by Rev. Maynard. |

Re: this album...the album is OK. Its not the greatest but its still ok. Its still better than some rubbish that is being released every week this year. Is this similar to APC emotive? lots of fans hated that album but I still liked some songs.
it makes me think of how tapeworm may have turned out. maybe trent/maynard/lohner didnt want to do tapeworm because of it suckign...I thought a couple of songs on V is for Vagina was originally from tapeworm?

I'm trying to discern a verifiable purpose or attraction in the music on this album and I don't see it. So Maynard watched the Sopranos a lot and took some lessons from hearing Alabama 3's "Woke Up This Morning" and wrote "Mama Sed" or whatever the stupid title is. From there, the album gets more indistinct and I still wonder.... Why am I listening to this?
APC has been, by far (imo), Maynard's best work because it was collaborative. MJK is, like other egomaniacal band leaders, a ridiculous mess when left to his own devices.
PS. He should've left the Puscifer name untainted by this bullshit "artwork"... |

| Vacant or Passive as it was known on the emotive album is a tapeworm song. I hadnt heard that anything was going to feature on this album. If it is on there then its shit. (that pains me to say that).
Even the version of undertaker on the album is dire. The renholder mix i thought was pretty damn good (that mix features on the underworld soundtrack and the EP).
I realise this album is supposed to be fun and not taken seriously, yet it angers me that he is wasting time of such crap projects when he could be doing something fantastic! bah *head explodes*
