Liz Phair Whitechocolatespaceegg Shelved Version

What was the story with this? I know she recorded songs like Russian Girl, Tell Me You Like Me, and different versions of known songs, but why did the r/c make her rerecord the album? Does anyone have these shelved demos to post or pics or anything that would help? Thanks

I remember her being on some tv show playing some demos of the songs she was working on for WCSE, and they were amazing. I don't recall any of them being on the album. I think maybe she played a bit of Polyster Bride. I would love to hear that stuff too.

But I love WCSE.

demonscars is on a distinguished road
There used to be a Liz Phair fan site that had all sorts of stuff like that but I forget which one. I think they changed addresses and then they were re-doing the site so they took everything down but I'm not sure if they ever put it all back up.

from what i hear it was pretty much a case of
"we can't find a single on this album"
so they made her go back, write new stuff, and polish stuff up
that seems to happen an awful lot
i like the demos and outtakes a lot, but the final album is quite good too
