The
Flaming Lips invited hundreds of fans to take part in their annual
"Ghouls Gone Wild" Halloween parade, which took place on Saturday (October 27) in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Approximately 1000 fans marched in the parade dressed as 'flaming skeletons' in black and white skeleton costumes, carrying lit torches through the streets of
The Flaming Lips' hometown.
Frontman
Wayne Coyne rolled alongside the marchers in his famous clear plastic "space bubble" as the band's hit
'Do You Realize?' played, reports
Yahoo Music.
"I knew if we put this thing out there that we would get just the cream of the crop of
Flaming Lips fans. Thank you guys for coming through for me once again,"
Coyne told the crowd.
The parade took place just two days after
Oklahoma City officially dubbed an alley
'Flaming Lips Alley' in the band's honour, as
previously reported.
