Not quite pretending this is in any way close to being an actually relevant recommendation, but while working on some compilation thing for a friend, I found myself listening to Giant Drag songs like
Tired Yet, and it led me to listen to Morningwood's self-titled debut all over again.
As goes for Ani di Franco, I guess you've already been told about the whole Tori Amos and likes of somewhat "mainstream" female bunch, so I'd say Corinna Fugate.

And if you've been into Hole, I guess you may enjoy either / both Jack Off Jill and Scarling., knowing JOJ's pretty much riot grrrl, foxcore and whatever is supposedly accurate and trendy to call it sounding, while Scarling. is, if I may say so, more subtle in the agressivity.
Oh, and for Aimee Man (and perhaps Ani di Franco albeit to a lesser extent), I'd definitely recommend Lauren Hoffman.

From The Blue House is very beautiful in its ethereal folk delicateness of sorts, and her latest
Choregraphy's simply stunningly great. A new album is in the works by the way
Last thing, again not necessarily to be thought of as a much relevant recommendation, but because the singer's got a barely imaginable gorgeous voice, Autumn's Grey Solace are fantastic. Try to give songs like
Edge Of The World a listen... They're priceless.
