Woohoo! Omar Roderiguez-Lopez has finished production on the Mars Volta's new album "The Bedlam in Goliath", which is due for release January 29th, 2008. It will be released on the label Gold Standard Labs. John Frusciante, a regular collaborator with TMV, makes a guest appearance on the album.
The track "Goliath" is to be released as a single sometime next month. It is one of three leaks, along with "Wax Simulacra" and "Aberinkula". You can listen to them here on the band's MySpace -
MySpace.com - TMV. - Progressive / Rock / Experimental - www.myspace.com/quevasasufrir
The album is reportedly about Omar giving Cedric a gift.
Following the departure of previous TMV member Jon Theodore, The Bedlam in Goliath features drumming by 23-year-old Thomas Pridgen. I haven't heard the tracks yet (waiting for the full album), but apparently this guy is
insane.
