Feist, Metric, Apostle of Hustle, hHead, Do Make Say Think, Jason Collett, Stars, KC Accidental, Valley of the Giants, The Weakerthans (who had an awesome live recording session with Sarah Harmer this year!), The FemBots, Reverie Sound Revue, The Dears, Junior Blue, and By Divine Right (to name most) have been/are involved in the Broken Social Scene.... scene.

Anyone else into this scene happening in the Toronto and GTA? I can't fucking live without this music. Top notch Canadian music. Because, honestly, I hate Platinum Blonde and I can't find any Teenage Head. There's not much else going on up here quite as well as this supergroup monstrosity. The New Pornographers, A.C. Newman, Destroyer, etc. are great, but nothing compares to this scene in my books.

(I still love you, Vancouver!)

BTW, Brandon Canning is sexy as Hell (because I like hippie people).

isn't any scene like that? it's never a huge flurry of activity. never this huge underground art movement. it's always just a handful of people who got the exposure and name recognition and represent their city.
