| | | Bedingfield's new found respect for Madonna Bedingfield's new found respect for Madonna
Posted: 27 September 2007 - From contactmusic.com
Natasha Bedingfield has newfound respect for Madonna after she struggled covering the Queen of Pop's hit song Ray Of Light. The pretty British singer tackled the 1998 song for an album celebrating Radio 1's 40th birthday. She says, 'I have so much respect for Madonna after learning how hard it is to sing that song. She has an amazing voice - the range you need to sing the song is incredible.' |

| | | The album's got some good stuff on it, and the production's fantastic, but the song itself is so unnecessary. |

I never thought it was needed as a bloody single. It should have stayed as an album track that I mostly skipped and occasionally got most of the way through before I realised I hadn't moved on to the next one.
I haven't listened to the album in years. I ought to. I still haven't listened to American Life the whole way through, or Confessions at all. I just bought them out of a bin because I figured they were so cheap it was almost harder not to have them.
I'm assuming Confessions actually sounds like Madonna's vile bits trying to break out of her leotard?

You should give AL a chance though, I really think the single screwed that whole album. |

You should give AL a chance though, I really think the single screwed that whole album. | please, why are people so quick to label Madonna bombs as great?? American Life sucks, it only like 4 good songs wich are Hollywood, American Life, Nothing Fails and I would say XStatic Process and that's it, it's a shit album.
And Madonna's American Life video FIASCO didn't help the album AT ALL. If she had had the balls(and I never thought in MY LIFE I would say this) to release that video everything would've been different.
She chickened out, period, for the first time ever Madonna became afraid of the backlash and I think it was unnecessary, the video was anti war so seriously who was she offending?? it was art and it wasn't going to save anyone's life and I don't think she and her family would've been endangered by it, it was just a dumb dumb move to MAKE THAT VIDEO and second to can the video.
And it's ironic because the video has nothing to do with the song.
My take on the video?? I would've made Madonna a 1950's plastic housewife like the stepford wives completely trapped by reality and daily life and all that kabbalah shabang, but that's just me I don't make her videos, so. |

He should write his own Wiki entry and see how long it stays up. I'll argue tooth-and-nail in the discussion pages for it to be retained.
