'Stadium Arcadium' is a best seller

Red Hot Chilli Peppers have scored a US Number One album for the first time in their 22-year career.

The double LP 'Stadium Arcadium' sold 442,000 copies in the first week of its release Stateside - nearly double the debut seven- day sales of 2002's 'By The Way'.

The album is the Chilli's ninth studio effort, and the band have also scored their ninth Number One on Billboard's Modern Rock chart - the most by any artist - with the record's lead single, 'Dani California'.

'Stadium Arcadium' debuted at Number One in the British album chart on Sunday.

I was really suprised that they never had number one spot in US before. But I'm happy this record has done so well, they deserve it. Over 20 years huh... WOW

Yea, that's what I was going to say. They're ridiculously popular, but this is the first time they've debuted at number 1? Crazy.

Whatever. They deserve it. I'm going to miss them terribly when they stop creating music.
