Band finally speak from the studio about forthcoming record
13.Jun.07 4:29pm
Radiohead have broken their silence today (June 13) in a internet posting to say their next album is nearly finished.
The band have been working on the follow-up to 2003's 'Hail To The Thief' for over a year, and while they had been keeping a studio diary on their Dead Air Space site, things had gone quiet until recently.
However in today's post guitarist Ed O'Brien has announced that the record is nearly ready.
"A word from the studio," he wrote. "Yes I know its been a while ..... but we've been working on this album for a while ...... BUT WE ARE NEARLY THERE ....."
No more details were forthcoming, though it has been rumoured the album could be released this autumn.
I've been nosing around the internet. I was looking for Radiohead rarities/b-sides and found something titled "radiohead new album." It's 9 tracks. [In previous articles it's said to possibly have up to 16 tracks.] Some of them are demo's, some are live tracks. I'm sure someone compiled them, but I'm wondering if the track listing is accurate. I'll write the tracks for anyone who cares:
1. Follow Me Around
2. Big Ideas (Don't Get Any)
3. Good Mornin Mr. Magpie
4. Big Boots
5. House Of Cards
6. Last Flowers Til Hospital
7. Arpeggi
8. Down Is The New Up
9. Videotape
Does anyone else have any info on the new record?
