ok, here's the occasion:

it's the last night of one of my bosses' job this upcoming thursday. and he is dearly and truly beloved (personally and professionally) by ALL of us, and all the kids at our school.

on thursday we're having a big program with parents and students, etc. and it's going to be my Bosses' last one, for a while. He's created this program from it's infancy, and is an AMAZING guy who stands up for all of us against our other boss.

anyhow. i'm going to sneakily rehearse with the staff and kids, and surprise him on thursday with a like, last hurrah song for the whole summer.

WHAT song should i pick?

he has pretty indie tastes, so something obscure wouldnt be beyond him. but also has a hardcore softspot for the classics. it has to be some song that sortof says thank you, we trust you, it's all over now but we'll return someday?

or maybe that's too obvious.
anyhow it's a song, i need to be able to teach kids and sing by thursday to say goodbye our really loved program director.
