| | It's. BAD!
I really had my hopes high despite the songs I'd heard, but now it's confirmed. I'm so disappointed. |

| | Am I the only one that doesn't think it sounds that bad? I like it. Its really polished but from what I've heard so far I really like it. They're experimenting with different sounds, which I like... |

| | | it's not awful or bad, in any way.
jenny lewis' voice is beautiful, especially in the title track.
they've never written songs this poppy and catchy and infectious. every track can possibly a hit... in the seventies. and it's cool and polished and retro. dreamworld reminds me of fleetwood mac. it's great. it may be their most repeat listening-worthy album.
that said, i never thought their brand of folk pop was that special anyway. at least, this way, they're doing something different for the genre. |

| | | i thought their other albums showed a promising band that hadn't done anything that outstanding yet.
i actually might buy this one though. |

| | | sounds like i'm the only one waiting for the cd to come out! i actually love "The MoneyMaker" though, even though it's not very Rilo-ish... it's just so catchy! I did love all their other albums though, I hope this one lives up to them |

The lyrics are so repetitive, the music is too computerised in my opinion. In some songs it feels like they're just playing on the keyboard like a kid does. Maybe it'll grow on me, who knows. But I have a feeling Rilo Kiley could have done so much better. |

| | I like it. After Jenny's solo album, I don't think an overly folky album was needed. Their expanding their sound, yet a the same time, it's recognizeable Rilo kiley. Perhaps it's because I became a fan during the "More Adventerous" era, and not their insanely indy days.
I'm enoying the record so far. |

But there were also other instruments. if you take "Give a little love", it feels like it's all about the keyboard. |

| | | I knew after she did Rabbit Fur Coat, the direction of Rilo Kiley would probably change. She's still pretty young, and has years of experimentation ahead of her. People get afraid when bands they love change the sound, but I'm more afraid of a band I love making the same record 15 times.
I don't think it sounds 'completely different,' it's not as if she pulled a Liz Phair Matrix circa 2003. I think this is an album one can appreciate if they liked Rabbit Fur Coat - 'Silver Lining' sounds like a long lost b-side from that album.
'Dreamworld' is FANTASTIC - should be a single - and I'm never fond of anything sung by a RK member other then Jenny...usually.
I'll have to listen to it more, but I like it already. |

| | | I was expecting to be disappointed so I'm not too crushed.
It's not bad. But it just makes me sad that there will never be another album quite like TEOAT.
If I didn't base the album on what they were previously capable of, then I would probably enjoy it a thousand times more.
