Good, dumb and fun bands

So I've just gotten back from seeing the Bloodhound Gang, have to say it was nice to go to a gig that was just stupid idiotic fun with gags that you can't help but laugh at, mostly because of how childish and retarded they are. They had a little projection screen as opposed to a backdrop which was showing slogans slagging off local stuff and adding really funny images, 'People in Neath eat seagulls' and a picture of a couple of SCFC players holding a 'fuck off Cardiff' flag being two that really stick out.

Who was the last band you saw who really made you laugh? Not through being comedicly shite but by being genuinely funny.

Tegan & Sara tell the best jokes.

I've always thought of The Donnas as good, dumb, and fun. I guess they've sort of evolved with the last record, but I like the heyday of them singing and playing sloppily about boys and hot dogs. They put on a good show. Very contrived and rehearsed, but funny because of being so contrived and rehearsed. I saw them in 2000 or so, and they told the same exact jokes at the 3 shows I went to.

Fuck! I'd forgotten about The Donna's, saw them a couple of times around the same time you did (reading festival and supporting 3 Colours Red & Muse), The Living End have that dumb fun aspect too.

My choice would go to Municipal Waste without a doubt.

Dumb jokes, inflatable sharks, boogie boards and rapping wizards.

Awesome.

Hahaha, Bloodhound Gang are ace. I wouldn't have classed the Donnas in this thread though, they were pretty good but more britrock.

This thread has to mention Bowling For Soup, who're possibly the funniest band I've ever seen.
