I'm a bit excited about this. The Peel sessions CD was great, much better than I was expecting.

She's working with Parish again.

I always liked her quite a bit........I was going through my cd collection and found all of her cd's. I did not know I was that big of a fan. I guess I did not realize (SP?) that I had them all.

PJ Harvey will release her new "piano-based" album, rumored to be called White Chalk, in late September. Songs currently being considered for the set include "Bitter Little Bird" and "When Under Ether"—macabre fun for the whole family.


To complete the unholy yet wholly divine trinity of "hips, tits and lips," PJ Harvey will release the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2004's 'Uh Huh Her' in late September. Spinner confirmed the release with a representative from Island Records.

Harvey began writing material for the self-described piano-based album -- rumored to be called 'White Chalk' -- last year, and debuted new songs including 'Bitter Little Bird,' 'The Mountain' and 'When Under Ether,' at various solo festival performances. After the sporadic road tests, she entered the studio in November with former bandmate and guitarist John Parish, as well as producer Flood, who collaborated with Harvey on 1997's 'Is This Desire?'

The ever-elusive Polly Jean is scheduled to perform as part of the Manchester International Festival and Summercase Festival next month, on July 7 and 13-14, respectively.

I've been listening to PJ a lot lately. Im very much looking forward to this.

this album sounds alot like ISD! From the songs we've heard. I really liked her cds, except her last one was strange. Cause the songs where good, but together as an album it did'nt sound right. I hate listening to it as an album.

I love Polly so I'm looking forward to this.

I'm so excited... I also hope it's kinda like ITD?. I read somewhere that it's a bit more piano-themed, so maybe! I didn't really get into Uh Huh Her the way I did with the others...

That's very good news...after all of these other "look at me!!" chicks in music as of late, I've really missed PJ Harvey more than ever. EVER!!
