| | | Spice Girls spark speculation of comeback LONDON (Reuters) - The Spice Girls are to make an announcement about their future plans next week, sparking speculation that one of the world's most successful girl bands is set to reunite for a new album and concert tour.
The Spice Girls sold more than 30 million albums and topped charts around the world before Posh, Scary, Sporty, Baby and Ginger decided to pursue solo careers with differing levels of success.
Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell left the group in 1998 and the other four quit in 2001.
"The Spice Girls are set to make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on Thursday 28th June," their management said in a statement on Friday.
"No further information can be given at this time but given the band's unique history you can be sure to expect the unexpected," Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment said. |

| | | omg is this really happening?? I can't imagine how are they going to do it now that they have ditched the platform shoes and the campy stereotypes.
I think Mel C should be left out. She thinks she's an "artist", as if anyone cares about her music, it's horrible. |

| | | According too the Daily Mirror they got offered 10 million for this.
I don't think it will be as big as everyone predicts it too be. Everyone thinks this is Take That comeback all over again, but the Spice Girls are something that should just stay 90's. Not many liked them when they tried to stop being tacky pop by releasing that single called 'Holla'. |

| | | I dont see any of them doing a nine til five and all their solo careers relatively flopped. Its been a decade since the break up......I guess their royalties cashflow would be drying up right about.....hmmm now.
Methinks they are desperate enough. |

| | | I would so see them in concert, provided they perform all of the old shit. Which they'd have to, or no one would go.
I mean come on, they were my first concert for crying out loud.
I wish Nsync would reform. |

| | Will their wear their old outfits??
It'll probably be great for most of them careerwise but Victoria is a bit of a downgrade surely. |

Me too! I've seen them live, it's so much fun. My dad & I went(not because I was a kid, I think I was like 18/19? He truely likes them ), we were the oldest people there.
Fingers crossed? Yes. |
