I watched Florence and the machine last night and Rum Shebeen. I had listened to her on myspace before and didn't think she was that great and also didn't exactly find her the most charming person I had ever met but fuck me she blew me away when I saw her live. and Rum shebeen were drunk and energetic and so hilarious (they are always energetic and exciting to watch) and had girls up at the front of a tiny pub room moshing and stagediving and crowdsurfing.
have you heard Ravi's daughter? Anoushka Shankar? I went to see her play the sitar but I was sitting down and I closed my eyes and must have fallen asleep and missed most of it.
