Michael Jackson snubbed by Prince | Sound Generator Michael Jackson snubbed by Prince They wont be touring together
Reports this week are talking up a 'devastated' Michael Jackson, after the pop superstar's invitation to Price for a joint tour was turned down flatly.
The reclusive star has been planning his comeback for close to two years, and is said to have asked the funk-rock star to perform with him on a spectacular new tour - which his managers hope will push him back to the top of the pop charts.
However, with Prince already committed to a busy summer schedule - including 21 shows in London later this year - Jackson is being forced to look at other potential touring partners.
"Michael seemed pretty gutted (disappointed) about it," an unnamed source told the Sun newspaper this week. "He said he's approached Prince to see if he would like to work together. But Prince wasn't interested in gigging with him.
"There would be so much hype surrounding (his) first gig, it would end up turning into the Michael Jackson show. Prince had his own plans. He is a legend in his own right. He doesn't need to be supported by anyone."
