Did anyone watch ity last night? Ever year I descend into a total homo watching it. I was a bit gutted that some of the best stuff didn't make it past the semi-finals (DQ's Drama Queen and DJ Bobo's Vampires Are Alive) but it was still great viewing.
The Serbian fat Rhona Cameron look-a-like shouldn't have won though
It was all about the Ukraine last night,how could anyone pick Serbia over this?
I watched it, not completely though, I saw only the second half or so but I think the Serbian song is wonderful and it deserved to win. She has a great voice and it was an impressive and emotional performance.
i prefer Hungary for the female vocal
she sang in english in that bluesy tone and had that big stop sign

anyone else notice the bottom six consisted of the big 4 that get automatic entry: UK, France, Germany and Spain?
and the top whatever consisted entirely of eastern block nations that all voted for each other. it's a bit pointless now.
Its always those 4 around the bottom, dont they know its them paying for it!! Yeah in the semi-finals none of the western europeans got through so we didnt stand much of a chance. Though i didnt know countries like Georgia were actually European anyway??
We should split the UK into Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and all vote for each other Or just give up cos no matter the song I think they wont vote..

Terry Wogan was brillant last night! Loved his comments! And teh interval of the man stuck in the ballon and trying to get himself out was SOOOO funny. I don think Serbia was that good and I think that Ukraine was awful!

Whatever dude...we were having so much fun at Helsinki's senate square last night. It's camp and it's kitsch and it's everyone's guilty pleasure so it's quite fucking bearable for two nights.
Serbia deserved to win. It was easily the best song of the whole evening and that can be contributed entirely to talent, great music and humbleness instead of open racks, deep throats, transexuals, drumming grannies and countless ethnic novelties.

The politics involved in this competition is terrible. The last couple of years were definitely effected by the war in Iraq. Maybe next year? I doubt it.
