I wish I could find a clip of him singing Change is Gonna Come on youtube, because among other things Blowin' inspired him to write it. So instead here's You Send Me:

yea. I've been looking for a video of A Change is gonna come live as well but can't find one
This could explain why--from wiki:
""A Change Is Gonna Come" is a 1965 single by R&B singer-songwriter Sam Cooke, written and first recorded in 1963 and released under the RCA Victor label shortly after his death in late 1964."

I'm totally obsessed with that first video I posted (from 1964 at Shindig tv show). I just love how he just comes walking on stage and start singing and the stage is pretty empty. It's a relief from all these overdone shows these days where it's more about costumes and background than about singing. Sam Cooke's performance is so pure and effortless, and it's so simple yet really amazing.
I also love how those kids get up at the end and start clapping while standing around him. That's fucking fatastic. And the kids aren't dresses like whores or pimps!
