describe your dream album explain its structure its consistency.

what would your dream album consist of if you could describe it in style overall and track by track:

mine would be like a combo of hole through the ages experimental, noise, grunge, pop, glam, garage, ballads, atmospheric, punk, etc.

it would have a zepplinesque song with banging drums and bass for the opening number with fast raw vocals for example
next would be a power signature memorable record think alex chilton by the replacements
next would be a soaring epic with twists and turns lyrically and consist of a double chorus and power guitar.
after that would be a song in the vein of cheap tricks i surrender lyrically and musically
the next track would be the sound of bolan meets bowie meets franz ferdinand with sugary sweet vocals
then it would be a cool oceany breathy smart meaningful ballad think the beatles meets fleetwood mac meets elton john meets madonna.
followed by a rough ragged killer think husker du hooking up with the minutemen and dinosaur jr
unto a psycho crazy song with distinctive vocals think captain beefheart.
then comes the the real punk sex pistols meets the clash then dances with the libertines and beds the ramones
next would be a string and piano song think u2 meets coldplay meets oasis with tori amos.
afterwards would be the atmospheric piece think joy division working with echo and the bunnymen.
then an experimental track think art brut meets the streets and pulp and blondie and outkast.
the next track would consist of a lyrical tirade almost a verbal bloodbath full of pent up angst but with only the chorus being kinda punk with the rest being folksy and confrontational think elliott smith meets patti smith and pj harvey.
followed by a poetic on life and the cultures of it and your life and state of it think dylan think blonde on blonde think highway 61 think blood on the tracks and let the lyrics have the main focus but also solid guitar make em feel blood on the tracks.
it would conclude with a magnum opus so to speak think never go hungry again something brilliant lyrically and instrumentally.relatable and yet otherworldly.amazing and accesible.unforgettable.

Mine would have cheeky interludes where I rapped about drugs.

A guest appearance by Robyn

And cowbell.

Mine would be like Huggy Bear's first, but without the pretentious poetry stuff and more grimey beatz.

And skits.

And the last song would make your stereo explode and/or make you shit yr pants.

xxxx

mine would be titled "chills and errors" after a line in one of the songs going.. chills and errors roll down my spine.

the band would be just me and my future guitar skills and synthesizer progamming skills and all that shit. okay, maybe liz phair will be doing guest guitars because i want to give her back some cred. lulz.

and the vocals would be supplied by guest vocalist ranging from annie hardy, emily haines, liz phair (again, because i love her), juliana hatfield and many more indie babes. heh.

first track would be titled "young and hungry". it's just a simple song about being young and being hungry.. kidding, just being young and wanting so much, being ready to go after what you want, do everything to get to where you want and all that shit. annie hardy will deliver the vocals like all sexy and kind of bitchy, much like in the demo version of "this isn't it". there will be a line that goes.... i'll do everything i need, i'll kill my son if i have to. the music will be like a marching drum beat and some eerie synth like in the xfiles theme and understated guitar stabs, very sporadic.

second track will be liz phair (early liz phair, girly sound liz phair, with that bored, laconic tone) and it's gonna be a real showstopper. it's gonna start with that guitar explosion like in supernova but different, the guitars just get more massive that by the end, it's like a song by my bloody valentine and you just hear liz droning. the lyrics would be about sex, in the real sense of it, like how it can destroy one's life and erase ambitions. it would borrow a line from that breeders song... motherhood means a mental freeze or is a mental freeze, something like that. the song would be titled "the opposite of sex", you know, from that film by don roos.

third track is a little spoken word thing, with synths in the background just buzzing louder and louder. the words will be said by katie jane garside, then will be echoed by juliana hatfield in the background. it will be like a pledge to oneself to never lie again and always tell the truth even if it pushes someone else to suicide or lunacy or cutting their legs, being emo, alcoholism, narcotic haze, whatever.

fourth track will be a happy song, with chirpy guitars like simpatico era velocity girl and emily haines will sing with that understated pretty voice and the lyrics will be about the end of the world. it will be like a tribute to the lunchtime poll, a'la heathers. the lyrics would just be different lunchtime polls like the world stops for one hour and everyone, everything is at a standstill, what would you do or something like that, poll queries delivered at a rapid fire assault but happy and peppy and near the end, there would be a bittersweet synth line that just loops over and over again much like in mbv's sometimes.

actually, this is just gonna be an ep. i'm tired. the chills and errors ep.
