I have two Whirlwinf Heat albums -- quirky a bit angular and admittedly strange but I like them. ( I prefer the debut though.)

Michigan Whirlwind Heat will celebrate the release of their new longplayer, Types Of Wood (Brille), with a cross-country tour. They'll be joined on the road by teen punks Be Your Own Pet for all of their June tour.
According to the band's label, the three multi-talented members of Whirlwind Heat also created short films and videos for each of their new album's 11 tracks. The videos will be available on DVD sometime this summer. Types Of Wood came out last month in the UK, and will be available stateside May 16.

i love whirlwind heat. they were in nz last year and i didn't get to see them. the presenter from our music station interviewed them and i was embarrassed. she didn't "get" them at all.

i did write an email asking a completely legitimate business question and they never wrote back, though. tsk tsk.
