Rapper teams up with England footballer for anti-violence gig
4 hours ago
P. Diddy and Manchester United and England football star Rio Ferdinand are teaming up to put together a 'peace gig' to take place next year.

Both the celebrities represent campaigns to tackle gun and knife crimes in their home countries.

"I've been touched by gun crime personally, I've lost friends and I want to get the point across that the violence has to stop," said Diddy of his plans, while Ferdinand added: "It's so important to me to get the message across that there is no point in carrying a knife."

The gig is expected to take place in 2008 at either London's Wembley Arena or the O2 Dome, reports Yahoo

Pearls of wisdom from Rio there. He's a more important historical figure than Ghandi now.

This is will be as affective as what Live 8 did for third world debt. All that's gonna come from it is....,"Ok we now know alot of people carry knives and stuff." and thats it. Nothings gonna happen, nothings gonna be done, weapon amnesties wont be taken advantage of and everyone is gonna carry protection in case from rapist or robber attacks them. Everyone's gonna learn the facts and the stats, but thats all.........what a fucking waste.

Yeah, but Rio and Diddy will be able to go back to their mansions guilt free, knowing that they did what they could to save people from being stabbed and whatnot. At the end of the day I think that's what's really important.

lol, where was their awareness concert as soon as biggie and tupac bit the dust? To pluck a Dr. Phil nugget, "You cant change what you dont acknowledge," now....maybe if we can just get Snoop Dog to admit he's still stashing guns and still in the Crips gang, maybe they can set out to,"Set an example for humanity." I mean, if you cant convince millionare rappers to give it up, how do you convince the underprivileged kids with nothing to loose to give it up???

i'm gonna laugh when some fool gets shot outside in a gang skirmish.
or when diddy gets pulled over for having a concealed weapon hours before.
